Everybody has a right to form his opinion about anything but when one's views are to be read by so many other people he/should be more cautious about presenting his views and should base his opinion on facts and not on just hearsay/rumours.This is my advise to all those who are writing disgusting stuff about reliance without any

factual information.

I bought reliance phone in the first week of March and believe me after seeing its performance in the first few days I was almost convinced that I have made a fool of myself. Connectivity was a big problem, making a call to landline was very difficult and calling someone at a GSM mobile was just impossible...most of the features of R world were not activated...i made myself a laughing stock at my office...if I tried to call customer care I had to wait for 20-30 minutes to get a customer executive on line only to get some vague information...the answer I got for my queries regarding the connectivity or any other issue was ''We are in the process of sorting it out and the problem will be solved very soon''. It was very frustrating.

It was then....now the last ten call that I have made to customer care I did not have to wait for more than 30 seconds to get an executive on line..they seem to be well informed now...however their standard reply is still the same that they are in the process of sorting the problem but the only difference is that now I believe them...making a call to any land line or gsm mobile is not a problem now...there is an instant connectivity...sms to gsm phone is still an issue...as per reliance it would not be absolutely free as earlier promised by them...it is likely that 30 paise will be charged for an sms message to gsm phones....i have also got my hands free and the the book of discount coupons...voice clarity is too good...even if I am travelling in a bus I do not have to shout and can comfortably talk to the other person...the handset is really nice and almost all the features of R world have been activated...I can check my email account...chatting through yahoo messenger is also possible…can download interesting ring tones...can view news at aajtak....live written cricket commentary (ball to ball)...film clips & songs....

but then watching video clips, songs or chatting through messenger in a mobile is not what makes reliance a worthy product …it does add to the attraction but is certainly not a paramount factor while making a decision to choose between gsm and reliance…who sees news or listen to songs in a mobile…TV is certainly a better option….

3 way call conferencing is also possible…i.e u call one person keep him on hold and dial another number and talk to both of them one by one….voice mail ...an option to get the voice mail automatically activated if the phone is switched off or even if the user is not picking up the phone...

Those people should not opt for Reliance who do not use the mobile for making calls but rather use it for receiving messages. Now that incoming calls are free in all the mobiles even a Rs.350 card is enough for those who fall in this category ...reliance is indeed an expensive option for them especially that interconnect charges are also applicable.

roaming facility is not available in reliance at the moment but if all goes well all the reliance users will soon get this facility also…the question that pops is how is it possible when TRAI has imposed restriction on roaming facility?? The explanation is that it would not be the roaming as available in the gsm phones but would be a sort of call forwarding …when a reliance user goes to other city reliance will assign him a temporary number at that particular city and all his calls to his original number will be forwarded to him…and the rate same 40 paise per minute…

reliance ofcourse is yet to sort out many of the problem that its users are facing…for example I am in Delhi and I can not receive calls from my home in Dehradun..Why?? because reliance is yet to make an agreement with the gsm & landline operator out there…there are few numbers in delhi where I can not call because of a simlar problem…but seeing the past record of reliance I am very hopeful that all the problems will be solved very soon and then I can REITERATE EVEN MORE LOUDLY THAT ''YES I MADE A RIGHT DECISION BY CHOOSING RELIANCE…..

01 May : NOW THAT THE NEW TARIFF STRUCTURE HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED I THINK THAT RIM IS A GOOD OPTION ONLY FOR THOSE WHO MAKE ATLEAST 250-300 MINUTES OF OUTGOING CALLS...NEW TARIFF (INCLUDING OFF NET CHARGES)IS RE 1 PER MIN FOR CALLS TO LANDLINE AND RS 1.2 PER MIN FOR CALLS TO MOBILE PHONE...STD CALLS HAVE ALSO INCREASED MANIFOLD...STD CALLS TO LANDLINES ARE PRICED AT Rs.2,3,4 per minute for calls in the range of 50-200, 200-500, over 500 km RESPECTIVELY...CALLS TO MOBILE PHONE IS COMPARATIVELY MUCH CHEAPER RS 1.9 PER MIN...OVERALL NOW THERE IS NOT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE TARIFF OF RELIANCE & OTHER GSM OPERATORS...SMS HOWEVER WILL BE ABSOLUTELY FREE FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS EVEN TO GSM PHONES...PULSE WOULD BE FOR ONE MINUTE (NOT 15 SEC)...

03 MAY

I LOST MY MOBILE TODAY...TALKED TO CUSTOMER CARE AND WAS ADVISD TO PUT IN A APPLICATION AT THE RELIANCE OFFICE AT DELHI WITH THE POLICE REPORT AND A CHEQUE/DD OF INR 3500...LET'S SEE HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO GET A NEW PHONE
