Agreed one can keep talking @ rock bottom price slots without shutting the mouth. But the fact that for a reliance mobile You’ll have to pay about Rs. 24600 in advance (though a loan is arranged) which includes 3000rs, One time charge and rs 600 for every month for 3 years, will go beyond the budget of many middle class indian Families. ( In GSM prepaid service anyone end up spending a min of Rs. 300 per month-300 Rs currency valid for 30 days).
I strongly feel Ambanis' should have thought of this and have offered lower tariff plans with relatively less talk time to suit minimal users.
Cheaper than post card indeed, but post office doesn't ask of 25000 in advance for 3 years.: The 400 min outgoing talktime transfers to mere 160 Rs (@ 40 paise a minute). I challenge reliance to set up public telephone booths all over India and allow people talk @ that rate (No deposit, no rent, pay in cash for the call made, @ 40 paise a minute). Bet if u think they won’t go bankrupt. All these gimmicks may help them grab customers once, but not once people realise the facts. (That’s why 3 year contact !!!).
