I bought Reliance Pro 3 recently from a distributor Alexons in Chennai. The package says that it supports up to 14.1Mbps speed. The sales person promised that you will get minimum 8 Mbps speed in and around Chennai. It was activated after 2 days(they said it will be done in 1 hour).
When I tested the connectivity was very poor and the speed was between 0.9 to 1 Mbps.
I called back the person who sold this data card and they smarty said that they never mentioned anything about the speed.
They are clever enough not to mention any of those details in the package or in their bill. I already had a very bad experience when I used their Net connect before. They sent bill even after cancelling and threatened to take legal action if I don't pay with fine. Luckily I had their complaint number and the SMS confirmation they sent to shut their mouth.
I didn't want this to happen again as I can see all over the net how they send rowdies to your house to collect bills. So I raised 2 complaints with Reliance regarding the speed and their fraudulent marketing strategy. No reply from them and after 2 days I found that they suspended the service.
Again they lied saying that they called and I didn't pick up the phone. And they said that they sent SMS that the speed issue has been resolved - well how can I miss both and how can they say it is resolved if they have not confirmed with me? The connection is poor, the customer service is poor. Pro 3 data card also doesn't work with Mac 10.x as specified in the pack. No technical support is ready to fix any of this problem.
My sincere advise to all who want to buy/try Reliance internet services. Please DON'T EVEN think about using their service. DON'T trust their salesmen. They do several cheap tricks to sell their product. They steal your money and you just have to make up your mind that you have paid this price to learn a valuable lesson.
