My neighbor was using Reliance Broadband with 2 mbps speed plan. As I had problems with my current ISP, I decided to switch it with Reliance because of it's fame and good review from the neighbor.
My neighbor called the person from Reliance to visit my home and he explained me the plans. I selected 4mbps plan and paid around Rs. 1800 with the installation charges to have it connected. He told me that engineer will visit and install the modem and I could start using it after that. They came the next day and installed everything and the connection started but instead of 4 mbps, I got only max 600kbps of speed. I asked the guy and he told that after your account details gets updated with the company(within 2 days), you will get full speed.
I waited and waited and 2 weeks went by with the same problem. I also called several managers of the company who were damn rude by disconnecting my call while I was still speaking and giving fake promises that today EOD your problem will be resolved.
After 20 days I finally decided to visit their office where I spoke to one of those managers who surprisingly and upfront asked me to have it disconnected because as per their contention ratio getting 600kbps of speed on a 4mbps plan was normal. I immediately called the customer care and asked for disconnection, it was the month of August. They came to my place to collect their devices in October, still after having it collected they called me several times asking for the reason for disconnection and all stuff.
I don't know how do they manage data of their customers. They are not at all informed what's going on.
Having reliance was the worst experience the worst 1 month I had suffered.
Please stay away from these cheaters.
