A good reason to choose Reliance right? Not before you read the rest of this review. Those who have been in industry will tell the Reliance style of doing business. They like winning customers and once they do, they are as ad say " Karlo dhunia mutti mein "( Trans: take the world in your palms or rather fist). This is very true with Reliance, they do not let you simply walk away, neither do care to make sure that you do not attempt by providing quality service. The main things you need to care while dealing with Reliance broadband(wired or wirless) are
If you ever complain of bad services, make sure you have a record of them.
Keep each and every document till you are 60(if you are not already) because Reliance legal notice demand huge sums may reach you after 2 years when you have absolutely no records of transactions with them.
If you ever plan to disconnect Reliance broadband, make sure that you have a record or acknowledgement of disconnection request or confirmation. Because there are numerous cases where they actually stopped internet but sent legal notice demanding payment of due bills(for those disconnected) near to a lakh or sometimes more. They will plainly threaten to take legal action if you do not pay some Rs. 80, 000 for your Rs. 600 per month plan as compensation.
But they do not take the legal way as it is very costly. Instead, they have collection agents(a better term will be goons wearing a tie) who will call you at odd hours, knock your door every now and then, visit you in your office or god knows may be even abuse you to make you pay the huge sum they demanded. They have nothing to do with whose side is right or wrong, all they know is they get commission if they make you pay the amount.
Even the best of the men find it difficult to handle these corporate gundas and even if you are capable of doing it, it will be a good time consuming process as these guys will not back off easily. Here comes the advantage of being with BSNL, they never sent goons to your home or office and most of their legal notices(both genuine and other) normally die after a time as they are too lazy to do such things.
All these doesn't mean that everyone will face such troubles, but there is a good chance you may end up as one case described above if you are not careful. It is better to be forewarned than learning the hard way and writing your frustration out on forum on net when they gave you little help.
