A recent M2M from my friend Himanshu(madsadman) drew my attention to the impotance of reading , rating and commenting reviews. It is not only important to write but to read other people’s work also.And
Himanshu’s at many times the first one to drop in a comment to many people’s revus.
yes it is true.That not only adds to ur reading and writting skills..it increases ur knowladge and the best part..makes u more famous on this website!!! (itika’s slimy smile)
we have 4 options for rating a revu...and we use them very efficiently...lets see how...Not useful...This is a comment no one gives to no one!!! For u cant be that rude u c!!! An effort is good enough for a better rating, no matter what the other person writes. You have to give a benifit of doubt yaar.Also maybe u have not understood what they wrote!!!
Some what useful...This is when we rate some one’s revu for the first time.Since we dont know the other person and well its not that good...and saying its not useful at all is so mean...then we click on this one!!!
Useful...this one is for those who (like me) are extreamly generous and NO...some what useful also sounds as good as saying not useful...so we say its useful.
Very Useful...This is a clear winner...i personally dont remember having rated any revu any less than this!!!: P...This one’s for the best pals on the site...like Aroo(Arundhati90),who will rate all my revu’s ’’very useful’’ NO MATTER WHAT!!!(how i wish she shud be the first to rate all my revus :))
Having said all this...lets take a look at the facts...This site is for reading,writting and rating REVIEW!!! A review means to write about the pros and cons ...then good points and negative ones.But almost most of the times we get carried away,writting about our own feelings,thoughts,experiences...which may not be very related to the topic!!! I admit,at times i feel the same for my revus when i read it later.
There are only 5% writers on the site who actually write for what the site is made for.Those who write ’’boring reviews’’ according to me.But infact they write what is to be written.
Best is when we rate ’’advices’’...Well we have ’’memories,smiles and care’’ as the gifts we would want to give to our loved ones. Well u cant rate them not useful, but then the website wasnt made to know how important ur memories are to u... But coz they want to survey the markets through our reviews!!!
Another aspect to rating revus is the encouragement that the writers get when their revus are read and rated. It surely is the most important part of being a member of this website...atleast for me. Who doesnt like to be appreciated after all...
To sum up i would just like to say... keep rating the way u wanna... after all the website was also made to bring people together...so thats what we r doing!!!
