Pros:
The popcorn and the empty seats (helped me stretch out and sleep)
Cons:
The movie, the acting, the direction, the product itself.

Now, I can proudly say that I have seen everything. Ram Gopal Varma has truly lost his mind. Once thought of as one of the greatest directors the country has ever produced, he has taken his own name and
sent it up into flames. The movie in one word was unbearable, and qualifies for my 3 worst movies ever seen.

You can’t help but draw comparisons between the original Sholay and this piece of trash no matter how hard you try before the movie that you are not going to compare the 2 and this is an ’inspired’ version. I almost pulled out my hair trying to steer away from the fact that this was not a remake.

The characters were pathetic. Amitabh is a ’pathetic’ villain, with horrible mannerisms (which was a bad point throughout the movie for all the actors/actresses); Ajay Devgan - a pathetic rendition of Veeru, and the other new kid on the block a joke; Mohanlal lacked the intensity of an actor; and that new girl....Ghungroo....hell! I don’t even remember her name and don’t even want to bother searching for her name on Google, needs to go to acting school and take crash course lessons. She needs to understand that she is not and can never be a ’sex symbol.’ She is too ugly for words and lacks the vivaciousness. She stands out like a sore thumb, and would qualify as a soft porn actress. Even Rajpal Yadav, who is usually good, was terribly irritating with his high-pitched voice.

Very very bad music...most of the background score was stolen from Sholay...which was the only respite in the entire film, albeit limited and then later on spoilt by the music directors.

I think RGV made this movie to lose money. In fact, I was surprised to see his reaction to the movie after attending the premiere of this movie. He said "I think they did not like the movie." How often does a director say that no matter how bad the movie is?

I just hope that he doesn’t decide on making a remake of this remake now...the way he did with that James and Shiva thing. Pathetic. RGV, you had my respect till Sarkar, and then  you started making lousy movies...you have lost all my respect and I will always think 10 times before watching any of your forthcoming movies.

I would also like to add that I am fed up of hearing about Sholay this and Sholay that....let that classic be a classic...The last I heard, Pritish Nandy has decided to make 3 movies based on Sholay...a prequel, a sequel, and an animated movie...

Don’t spoil Sholay for those who loved it. I beg you!
