One frustrating experience I had with "Raj Travel World" is as below:
It was Saturday sept 12 2009 and I dropped into "Raj Travel World" office for a package of
Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for December 18th 2009 on a group tour. The Branch Manager "Vikas Bhatt" said the
package price is 75k/person. After this, I had to negotiate the price to which he agreed to 65k/person.
He said the prices are increasing coming Monday onwards.
I was about to sign a cheque and give it to him. Fortunately, I just went out of the office and thought to checkout
the package cost at head office in Grant Road.
There I talked to "Amita Shah" and she told me for a travel on 18th December 2009, the actual tour cost is 80k/person which we are giving at 20k discount.
She told me if you can come right away, I can give you the package at 60k.
This I confirmed 3 times on phone. I went inside the office and handed over the phone to "Vikas Bhatt" and they started
arguing about the package and surcharge and stuff like that.
I had already lost the trust by now and I left off the scene.
Coming Monday, I get a call from Raj travels and they are ready to offer me the same package with no increased cost,
as they claimed before that the prices were supposed to increase from Monday.
This is how "Raj Travel World" operates with so much of disparity in their packages across the offices.
I consider them as the biggest frauds as there is hardly any sanctity in the system the way they operate.
I was an alert customer and hence got saved from their trap. Not sure how much of loss of faith would have happened had I gone ahead with them.
