I traveled to Far East tour of Raj Travels and had a very bad experience with them. I was offered a package for 72K per person for a 10 day trip to Pattaya, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore
However after a few days they dropped the price to 56k and was told that it was available for a few days only and the group consists of around 40 people and a separate tour guide will travel with the group. On reaching Bangkok we found that there were only 8 persons and local tour guides. We were told there were young couples like us travelling in the group but there were older families.
The list of hotels was provided to everybody on the last day so that no one can see any reviews.
There was utter chaos at the Bangkok airport as other people in the group were not mailed their tickets so could not get their visas on arrival. Had to wait for them over 3 hours and skipped lunch.
The hotel in Pattaya was worse than a dharamshala of India with cockroaches roaming in the room and not at all 3* as promised in their brochure. The staff did not know English and were useless.
Tickets for Bangkok to Malaysia given to us were for 22nd Feb instead of 21st Feb. Had to call Raj to get the error rectified.
We had a days stay at Genting but were brought back to Malaysia , the reason being no rooms were available. This was despite paying the full fare of the tour a month in advance.
Also a part of the tour in Malaysia was skipped. On asking the guide it was told that it was not part of the schedule and you need to call your agent in India to get the matter sorted.
Were not provided lunch on the 1st day in Singaporefor which we had to spend S$50. Were told it was not part of their costing.
Despite promising us Thai airways we had to travel by Air India/Air Asia.
After making a official complaint with Raj Travels at their Grant Road office after returning from the tour it was promised that we would be refunded for all the thing s not provided but are still waiting for the refund after 4 months. The agent Chaitali says talk to the Accountant Sandeep and he says the agent has not provided him with any details.
All in all the company doesnt care about customer service and just wants your money. Customer experience be damned.
I wouldnt recommend Raj to anybody after this experience
