Radio City has been in Bangalore for the last 5 years. I’ve been listening on and off when I am in Bangalore (until 2002 and after 2005). Currently, I listen in on the Morning Show when I work out in the gym.

I really like the music that they play, it’s a mix of old and new. I find the RJ, Vasanthi to be a real pain and wish that she would just shut up. But, I can see that she would definitely appeal to a different demographic, the college crowd.

I would like to see a bit more localization. It does seem to cater mainly to the IT and cosmopolitan crowd, with the talk mainly being in English and Hindi. No wonder, the local Kannadigas feel out of place in our own hometown.

The other thing that strikes me is just how good the signal is. It is far superior to the AIR channels. I was even able to get a clear signal at Nandhi Hills

I hear that many new radio stations are coming ot Bangalore soon. I can’t wait for that to happen
