RADIO CITY 91 FM Review

RadioCIty 91Fm can be very well said that its a Hit music station in bangalore. Qualityof Transmission, presentation by RJ’s, content of the programme are really good and lot many manorajan!!
There

are programmes like Lingo Leela which I dont miss to listen as I wanted to captuer the local language Lingo’s ( Kannada), as that is one of the quickiest way to learn local language and no harm in learning a new language, which many people here in bangalore are not willing, which is the sad part. Bangalore, as in the name itself tells, accepts people from all other state, religion, caste and Radio City also beams lot many programmes in Hindi than its local toungue Kannada. That also I see as a tool to learn Hindi if you are not familiar with, will get to knwo the current Bollywood pulse, slang, golden melodies of kishore Kumar,guru dutt and many other melodies.
I doubt very much that its counterpart ( local FM stations ) in other Metro cities, will beam variety of programmes in a different language other than its local. Its amazing to see this kind of spirit and openess in accepting other culture / language that is typical and canbe only seen in Bangalore and not anywhere else .
Taffic Updates, Info geeks, whats happenig in the City , Events , Matinee, chow-chow bath on sundays are some of other interesting programmes, listened by many people while travelling in the car, roadside teashops and even BMTC buses too.

’’Brunch with the Boss’’ is one programme quite unique where Business unit Heads, CEO of IT / BPO Companies are interviewed and they share their experiences, challenges with viewers. THis programme also has got lot of listernership.

As for as adding a new programme ( a different variety altogether) is concerned, I have a suggestion. They can have programmes like giving tit bit news like Top 10 restaurants.train arrivals / departures , Tel nos of some imortant Hospitals / BDA /CMC offices, Airlines, their timings etc can be also boradcasted, say 10 each day and there by covering almost all in the city, which could be useful to many others and especially new comers who may not be aware of such facility though available in their locality, and for people who can catch up such information onthe fly ( on their way to Airport, Rlway station) etc.
I dont know whether they have any Live relay over the Internet ( streaming audio) , but if they have, pls M2M. I like listening mostly as it provides a pace, rhythm and acts as a catalyst to finish the work/ job assignment quickly and with focus.
Radio city should also consider giving out English music, Health(Yoga) Tips, atleast weekly once , may not be rock n roll but simple melodies like 80s,90s during prime time that will also increase its linsetership and receive wide applause and reach.
Rather than more Hindi film music centric, it should also focus on Social development issues much more(though its doing but feebly now) by bringing into light socially active Personalities like LokAyukta’s venkatachalaiya, Sudha Murthy,Dr.Devi shetty and others.

Overall this FM station is worth Listening anytime!!
