Hi People

This review is for me more than a review. Its to vent out my furstrations at this newly born and nearly dead FM channel to hit Bangalore. On Oct 17th i wrote a review on this same channel
and today i write once more.
My opinion has changed, not because i am a chameleon but the product is.
Its monday morning and i switch on to 91FM at 7AM with The Hindu and a cuppa java. ’’Namaskaaar Bangalore, aaj ham layee hein Josh 90 or whatever number it was’’ screams Durias and his cohorts. I actually spill my cuppa on the paper and then and there i knew the day was screwed.

Till about a month back Radio City started out with a Breakfast show, which was wild and whacky. Of course, it was in English, not that i dont understand hindi or i hate it, but i have listened to both varities of musci and i just happen to enjoy English in the morning.

Ok, so i finish all my morning activities with the strains of Keb Mo wafting across to my bath and step into the car to rush to office. Switch on the blasted radio and still Josh is going in full Josh with beats from Taal and what nots.

Slip out for lunch at about 1PM and the music is still there, the show is different, but i can still hear Taal being played
4PM and out for a smoke and you cant beat this man, Taal is still playing 9PM and am at home with a beer before dinner and Taal does not seem to leave me alone. I look at the calender and wrack my brains to figure out if today was a National Hindi speaking day or maybe a literacy drive day. I say to myself, this is just a one day affair

Come next day 7AM and i am still spilling my coffee.

Where did my favs go - Retro shows and the chart countdowns and the early morning classic southern rock. Seems that Radio City believes people who actually listen to them are night crawlers. So at about midnight you can actuallty listen to some English music - not even classics, run of the mill boybands crooning their hearts out to the strawberry sirens.

I had earlier said, RC91 seems to go the MTv way and i stand by it. Soon you will have RC91 hindi, RC92 kannada et all. And where is the western rock. Seems Bangaloreans do not want to listen to them or so , thats what RC thinks

Maybe its time to call it Garbage or maybe in their own terminology Refuse Collection 91

Who is your favorite Radio Jockey? Priya, retro show
