RADIOCITY-91FM (bangalore) A boon to every music lover. One of the greatest discoveries of mankind -the radio is back in use with a boom. This time it looks like they are going to stay for a longer time. The radio had just about had its nail in the grave and just when we thought it was gone, it revived. Thanks to radiocity. Till sometime back listening to the radio was considered obsolete and out of place. Now it is all over the place. Technology is appreciable in its right sense only when it reaches common man. That is possible only when the media is affordable. Something like a radio reaches every house, every car, every person and all it asks is for Radiocity 91 fm

Music played: morning breaks with a tinge of bright English tracks, famous hindi ganas (all new) seep in and they blend with some more English hits and end the show with music from the early 90s
A great way to start your day. Energetic music, enchanting RJs and loads to chew on. stuff you can get on this show arebreakfast habit, wake up calls, wishes, 24tuesday, Dr D, weekend watch, say a little prayer, the breakfast bench and solemnly swear they also give us a comprehensive sports update and a business report. The two of them will force you to believe that it takes two to tango. They have a great chemistry and deliver full entertainment amid their endless skirmishes and tittle-tattle

Music: hindi film songs from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s.
An olden goldie thing. 3 hours of surreal music. A flashback or a rendezvous with the past as she calls it. Stuff expected here areshowcases, Friday antakhshari or funtakshari, stacks, specials, jaldi five, lots of questions and answers with her music . She suits her role in the station very well. She plays some really good old hindi tracks with an unswerving choice of songs.

Show: the request show
Radio Jockey: Jonzie
Music played: English+hindi, new+old, filmi+non filmi (request show after all!)
The viewer’s show as it is, jonzie adds a new dimension to it. just reading requests and playing them can be monotonous but with jonzie in the house, the station is far from boring. Stuff expected on this show includetop gana top request and password sections this, I believe, is the most innovative show. It drives the laziness out of the afternoons. It has his granny, his dog Madison, his very famous whip, his favorite chikithas, his cow, his pig and basically the rest of the zoo. A great show with a great talker.

Radio Jockey: Rohit Barker
Music played: hindi latest hits, English latest hits
Resuming the fun mood that jonzie left you in, is what Mr. barker is up to. He keeps us abreast of everything that’s in and that’s naught. stuff in his show includecampus news, rev up in reverse, café fore(4)play, this day that year, clichés for café, musical goddess . He is this perfectly ‘cool dude’, the very naughty kinds, very musically inclined and has a great sense of conversation. Someone I would say who has the gift of the gab!

Show: Hot air
Radio Jockey: Chitanya Hedge
Music played: Hindi film music, mostly new chartbusters with a couple of old songs. The last hour plays international hits.
A completely filmi show where you can get all the juice and happenings of bollwood. Listening to foot tapping music on your way back home from work is what this show is all about. Stuff you can expect on this show arenew songs on RC premier and red hot, top8 at 8, RC classic, drive time requests chaitanya is a more mature, smooth talker who makes it virtually impossible to hate him. He entertains the entire the family and you can relate a lot to him.


Show: the late show
Radio Jockey: Priya Ganapathy
Music played: international alternative rock and classic hits from the early 90s.
a lot of mellow, soothing tracks, for us to end our day and blend into the embrace of sleep. But she is filled with gusto and her zest will actually keep you from dozing. A total enricher. Priya, again is one hell of a speaker. She can talk and talk and talk and yet be far from nonsense.

Weekend shows include the vibe with sunaina, chow chow bath with chaitanya hedge , the retro show with Priya g. The club show with DJ Ivan and Rohit B and the world chart show with jonzie where he plays 40 hits worldwide are definitely ones not be missed.

For the night owls on the prowl, RC does not deny entertainment. At 12 00pm every night there is the following schedule
Mondays: all rock no talk, for the hard rock head bangers
Tuesdays: the Gurkha shift with Rohit B for some saucy naughty above 18 healthy talk
Wednesdays: the world chart show with jonzie
Thursdays: rebel yell another rock special with jonzie and santhosh (sangs)
Fridays: club classics with rohit barker.


They have a talk show called big mouth on Sundays for one hour by Dariuss.
Regulars in most shows include time checks, whazzup, traffic updates and loadsa contests in all the shows. The manner in which they get the audience to actively take part by messaging rather than being passive recipients is remarkable. They make sure we are listening. A bunch of Very talented RJs who know what they are doing and as they promised, the only thing played between two hit songs is another hit song.they all have the gift of the gab. Live callers, acknowledging messages, wishes on air, sharing greetings, gives us a fell like they are literally visiting us each day home.
Music round the clock is very apt and well suited for the masses. They know exactly what to play in the mornings, mid mornings, noons, afternoons, evenings and nights.
