Yes, RACE is an action flick...in the true Bollywood nouveau style (Abbas-Mastan ishstyle!!!!) The story supposedly a thriller is truly
predictable at every corner one turns of the script.
The cinematography, the background music (sound design), the action sequences and the dance choreography are excellent.
The actors, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan really perform their best given the ridiculous nature of the plot. Being a female, Saif is the eye-candy and he truly grows on you and I could not take my eyes of him every time he came into the frame!!! He has a natural charisma about him!
The actresses were mediocre other than looking excellent in their various outfits which were absolutely minimal on their lithe frames. Anil Kapoor was good given the cheesy scipt lines he had to deliver.
All in all, it was a mindless action flick that one should sit through like almost all commercial movies that Bollywood churns out......a movie worth going to see when one wants to put away all ones stresses in life for 2 hours just to enjoy the colours, dances and superb bollywood-style music.
