I was looking for a negative "star" rating for flight attendants. I am not writing this review based on a single flight. I have flown Qatar Airways a total of 22 times. I am a frequent flyer and have flown a wide variety of airlines in Asia, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Qatar Airways is the worst airline I have flown and it has been getting consistently worse. In fact my last flight with them was so bad that I have decided to never fly them again even if it means taking a longer route.
I have been subject to racist comments by their handlers in Qatar and the one two times I flew economy, I was appalled by the absolutely terrible airport in Doha. The restrooms are practically unusable because of poor hygiene!
I am taking time out today to warn passengers that this is an airline to avoid. If their service is as poor and deteriorating as I have seen it to be, I am worried about their maintenance and safety priorities as well. In fact, being a frequent flier I have talked to a number of pilots and flights attendants at both Qatar and other airlines and they constantly have never negative feedback.
Apparently the airline tries to promote its Qatari pilots over the expats and I've also heard of religious bias in promotions and pay. There is a huge flow of ex-Qatar air crew to Emirates and others.
This is a chronically mismanaged airline and is to be avoided at all costs.
