We refuse to laugh at innocuous jokes,they better hint at somethin forbidden n scandalous if we will shake our gym trained abs and go into a fit of laughter

movies in d past tht hav managed this awesome task r No Entry,Garam Masala,Mujhse Shadi Karogi? Kya Cool Hai Hum, Style,Biwi Number 1 n plenty of Govinda ones whr he ends up gettin married twice
Common thread - double meaning jokes, a guy who cheats loving wife,evn cheats 3 girls at d same time,college guys (n their dads) desperate 2 lay ny chick including d kaamwali bai Eventually man learns lesson comes back 2his wife
Excruciatingly funny!

Then comes Indra K and makes a movie bout 2 not too bright fellas, makes them deaf n blind n throws in a sprinkling of fun, a yearning for love, couple of adorable girls and spins a sweet yarn
N for tht he expects us to spend a hundred buck! How dare he! N to top it he has d audacity to call it a comedy? Where r d double meaning jokes? Mayb we cud hav laughed if d 2 guys wr cheating on d girls on d side n gettin into absurd situ, or bashing up d heroine’s dad or even if there was a hint of some gay love between the 2 heroes

All tht cud hav kept us riveted to our seats
But not a heartbreakingly simple tale of 4 simple folks who end up being courageous without meaning to
So wht if 4 a brief moment in time they make u forget ur own worries coz d blind guy refuses to frown no matter wht n d deaf 1 insists on dancing to d rhythm evn if he cant hear d music.
or if they dont crib 2 God, just pray 4 love
we smile as we watch em find their love n their souls dance in bliss
Laughs may be a lil difficult to come across but smiles come in plenty
our hearts breaks wt theirs wn they confess love only 2 be told its diff to love handicapped guys They r so dense tht they never even considered tht. (N thats where the movie scores big time Not 4 a moment r they objects of pity. They just merrily do their thing. Thats y u cant help bt luv em laugh wth em if not AT them n pray they wont get their bones broken too badly for not knowing when to give up

they pick up pieces of their broken hearts sort them out,fix em up as best as they can n get back to doin wt lovers do
Make sure d beloved ones are safe and happy
Nothn heroic,nothin awesome no big dialogues n posturing,just 1 simple theory–A man has to do wht a man has to do –So they run n hide n do whateva nec 2 get d job done
N u can see d transformation in d girls,they bring it across so gracefully (no unnecessary melodrama) in the way they stare at the boys with new eyes,knowing how they had misjudged Its all beautiful stuff I swear
When u c it u wil understand

But its not an all out comedy so y bother?

Pls do bother Coz this is d bravest movie by a mediocre director who usd 2 make low grade movies 4 d masses his logic being –I sell wt people wanna buy Bt in a momentary lapse of reason he gambled against his better judgment n decided 2 make a movie tht he hoped wud b cherished by those who look for nice clean entrtnmnt U and I are suposd to b able to c its simple beauty Well he wil hav learnt his lesson I am sure
Back 2 crudeness as far as he is concerned

I hav nver been Indra fan bt this time I applaud his bravery

Page3 showed us how d rich n famous party,such an imp topic 2 make a movie on n Konkana Sen went around lookin as if she wud throw up any time so nobody can complain tht she didnt giv facial expressions. No Chandni Bar 2 educate us on d essential subject of bar girls. Rang De Basanti urging gen next 2 do somethin 2 solve d nation’s probs,like mayb kill d Def Minister. Ridiculous but popular
No paki kickin Sardar or paki love winning Veer(though I dare Yash Chopra 2 show Indian girl and Pak guy n then harp on d theme of love But yash is a calculative guy He knows how 2 help u make his bank balance fatter

Frankly I was shocked at d reaction Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi and Shikhar got

Both Amrita Rao movies
both brave efforts tht break d mould n d audience didnt bother watching
Y do we read reviews? Coz its easier to have our minds made up for us?
How tragic coz both movies were worth 2-1/2 hrs of our precious time n cost less thn a pizza.

For me she personifies courage
Rahul Dravid may be the Wall n SRK is King, but AR is Little Red Ridding Hood who will shudder in d presence of the wolf but tie and gag him up anyways coz tht wud be d right thing to do
Now if I go into al the reasons 4 liking AR this would have to become a book
So I will just say its not just coz of her stunning beauty or coz she is the most natural actress in d industry today, but mostly coz she is our Beacon of Hope. While all around her girls r falling over each other to join the exposure brigade and do item numbers to survive AR stands still and stands tall. N it helps that she is awfully talented

When she went 4 her first audition for an ad she was terrified,but put on her brave face n went on to do sm of the most memorable ads in history. She stays honest to herself n gives it her best shot. she doesnt compromise for money or glory nor mumble about MotherTeresa to become Miss World, but then Priyanka Chopra is such a star. AR prefers to be an actress and do her job sincerely.

I dont wanna compare n end up hurting fans of other actresses

That scene in MHN - AR as Sanjana opens up her heart to SRK and talks abt her dad. super intelligent Khan realizes AR is doing so well that all he has to do is to make sure that he doesnt distract the audience. Watch how he turns down his energy and sits still. He knows he is witnessing a great talent do her thing, n she does it so well

Then that song – Chale Jaise Hawae, pls watch carefully how AR does an entire sequence of more than 2-1/2 min without a single cut! That is incredibly difficult to do especially when she had to run all over the place to be at the right place at the right time, she makes it all look effortless

I cud go on n on
But I will resist
Just comment on her choice of roles
They are always nice she does them with sincerity and she is always impeccable
Even in a movie like Masti she lends a certain dignity to the proceedings
I rediscovered the child in me with VLTHA
I live on a hillstation so I could relate to the message of Shikhar
N with PM I have found the joys of simple entertainment
Watch AR and you will see she believes in Priya she isnt doing it just to pass her time
She cud join the skinshow bandwagon get bigger paycheques, item numbers and go on tour for shows. But she has to much regard for her father

When life throws a lemon at her,this girl throws it right back at life. She could be opportunistic like others and make a lemonade. But no thank u She can manage without

N if you want to see her do meaningful roles then come November she will enthrall you with Vivaah

In d meantime watch PM coz sometimes it better to just smile
laughing can b left 4 another day
