I am studying MCA from Bangalore University. In the third year of MCA there is a subject called JAVA. The book of Java A Primer from E Balagurusamy is under syllabus and we have to study this book for our course.
I have purchased this book and started reading this book the book covers almost all chapters like Fundamental of Java programming, OOPS concept, Java API and JAVA etc.,
The Basics of java like Variable, Data types, loops, data operators, applets, Arrays and strings are very well explained with good examples in this book.
The Book is also having Model question papers with Exercise which helps us to develop a project.
Overall as per my suggestion and reading the book is best fit for beginners who wish to learn java at home only just reading a book.
