As a parent I feel bad that I even opted for applying in Presidency School for my kid in nursery. It was such a bad experience. The management expects a 2.5 year old kid to give interview like an engineering student.
First of all on meeting a stranger for 1st time the management expects the kid to answer every thing. They must know it totally depends on the mood of the child to answer a stranger.
My daughter told different colors, named the vehicles n recognized her mama n papa. Then she was asked to tel a rhyme.
After a little while she said two lines of 'twinkle twinkle' rhyme. After that we were sent to meet the principal. She said 'your daughter has not done any activity in the interview so we reject her'. I insisted that she has seen a new person n it takes time to be friendly with strangers. On this the principal says' here we can't take personal care for students in a class of 35 students. She has to be able to learn things.'
I don't understand how can a 2.5yr old kid be independent?
First of all the school must take training on how to talk to a kid. N if we parents teach every thing then why would we send her a to a school only!
Generally no school will interview so much as much they do. That too they no where in the top lists.
On first meeting only we can clearly find that the staff n principal r under-trained!
Good luck that we got rejected from that school.
