I'm actually still reading the book I've been reading it the past three weeks. I liked it to an extent. I liked that Randolph Ash and LaMotte fell in love and had a child, but in away I didn't like that the had affairs over writing that led to a child.
I can see how it would be realistic, but in away it didn't show the true time period or the life in which things were lived like back then. They had bath for social events.
It seems that they meet at a dinner party and they both were poets, but they feel in love through letters and had an affair and broke one of the lovers hearts in which kill her by having her kill herself through her lovers rocks in her pocks. Then while her lover does that she sleeps with Ash and has his child. I hate to say it but this book is good but on the other hand it made me angry. I didn't like how things happened, yet I loved the romance.
Plus it was the hardest book I've ever read in my life. I've read so many books it hard to keep them straight. Possession was good yet sad. There are so many mysteries in the book yet it makes you just want to keep on reading to find out what happens repeatedly.
