I own an Avenger 220 2012 model. I have been to Popular Bajaj - Bannerghatta road couple of times for periodic service. Even though they won't do anything special their bill will empty your pockets. When you see the bill, you would be confused for a moment thinking whether you own a bike or a car.
My bike had leakage of oil through cam cap and they charged me around 400 Rs for the cap and another 500 Rs more to clean the engine head. Again after 2 weeks the problem reoccurred. I knew what they charged was more for what they did so I stopped visiting there.
I found a local mechanic who was good for the next service and told him about the problem. He charged some 40 odd bucks for the cap and cleaned the engine head for free as part of servicing. I knew Popular Bajaj was cheating it's customers but I never knew it could go to this extent.
