Unfortunately I saw the reviews about poonam after I booked my Sofa 3+1+1.I paid my advance and was told that I will get my Sofa in 15days max, as it was teak Shivraj told me that I will get it in 10-12days and I can inspect the unpolished frame. Once I am happy with the quality of the wood he will polish the wood and deliver the sofa. 1st impression - Poonam is a honest shop, the way Shivraj spoke to us and gave the details. I was impressed.
After 10 days booking, the horror story started. These guys dont pick up the call , nor do they call us and inform what is happening. Shivraj started telling me that it will done in 1 weeks time and weeks went by. In between they had this story of the carpenter not being available for the model we ordered. then the carpenter comes back.but still there is no news of my Sofa for over 15days. I have called them, spoken politely, shouted at them, spoken politely again. nothing changed except that - for some days a guy called Prashanth would recieve my calls instead of Shivraj and tell me stories of what is happening. One thing they did sometimes was to send photos over whats app of other models, to check if I can take that instead of what I ordered.
Its now very close to 2 months and these guys promised me again this Monday that they will send me the photos of the frame and deliver the sofa on thursday. Nothing happened post that, the agony continues.
Its a really bad place to go, situated in a good location. Having multiple floors it catches your eyes and the sales man are good at cheating and handling people. I am not sure if we can take these guys to consumer courts. or how to teach these guys a proper lesson.for time being I am just waiting to hear when these guys will tell your sofa is done and I can visit them to check it.
