An evening Sunday dinner can never be at home. So I left for dinner with my family, 5 of them. After quite a little research, we decided to go for Italian cuisine. Had never before been to this place, but recommended by my brother and so we chose to pay a visit to Pizza Express.
The first reaction when I entered this place was wow. Highly spacious, dim lit and candles at every table created the perfect ambience for a cozy dinner. Nevertheless, I was with my family and immediately got a seat as soon as we reached. We were impressed by their service because just as we got comfortable on our chairs, a waited was waiting to welcome us with the menu card. He greeted us'Good Evening' with a pleasant smile and thats when I realised the behaviour of a person matters a lot, specially someone who is there to serve you.
After going through the order and combining it with the waiter's recommendation, we were ready with our menu. Starting with Dough Balls, they are small balls of bread served with four different types of sauces namely, goat's cheese, tomato sauce, jalapeno sauce and don't remember the last one. The balls were very soft to gulp in. Then, we ordered two pizzas, one was Pizza Express speciality that had a mixture of Italian sausage and spicy sauces alongwith chopped bell peppers, red chillies and jalapeno and ofcourse mozarella cheese. This pizza tasted divine when had with oregano and chilli flakes. The second was Verdure Pizza and it was also thoroughly nice. Penne Arrabitta Pasta tossed in red and white mix sauce are our alltime favourite. Finally, we finished our dinner with Tiramisu. For all those who don' know, Tiramisu is an Italian dessert of coffee, cocoa cream and wine. This proved to be perfect end for the evening.
Our bill for this much turned out to be around 4k which I felt was a little more expensive. The main reason for this being 10% service tax. Anyway, it was a super evening with even better food.
