I got my set of Ping i3 o-size irons three years ago to replace an aging and worn down Wilsons. And at around US$ 120 a piece for set of 8 clubs (2, 4 to Pitching Wedge), I think it is one of the better investment I had made. These irons are simply great to hit and the feel is solid and nice.

The ’cusin’ filtering system installed in the shaft (True Temper Dynamic Gold Regular Flex) does a great job of removing that painful and annoying vibrations from reaching your hand. And best part is that the ball flies straight at your target area. Simply sweet! These irons are well suited for both high or low handicappers.

Seniors and high handicap player may benefit from fitting these irons with graphite shafts. After three years at the rate of average two rounds per week, these clubs are still looking new. If you are in the market for a new set of irons, these Pings are certainly worth a try. Most pro-shops will allow you try out a few shots using their demo stock. Somewhat expensive, but worth it!
