We traveled to Goa on 30/09/2015 in Paulo travels(A/C Multi-Axle Sleeper) and with my experience I will not recommend Paulo travels unless there is no choice and has the urgency. I don't like it for couple of the reasons as mentioned below:
May be due to the long weekend it cost us 11k for 4 people. But its not worth half of it I bet.
Though lucky in the sense that it did not get cancelled as others have complained. But if the bus is arriving as late as 1-2 hours, then there is not much difference being late or cancelled.
- Operators are not pro-active in updating the status:
If buses are running late, atleast inform the travelers much in advance so one can plan the travel accordingly. Sending message(that too once) 10 minutes before the actual boarding won't help the people. This is worst when one has to board the bus from the point where they do not have the office(Madiwala). Tracking the bus status over the phone is not as easy as it sounds. Well over the phone, I would be honest that they did respond but were never prompt.
This is the major reason for Thumbs down to Paulo because:
Condition of the bus from the outer appearance itself looks pathetic(almost looks like 10 years old).
Inner appearance was more pathetic. Size of the bed are smaller and totally uncomfortable. Beds are stinky and dirty.
They don't provide complimentary blanket, forget about water bottles. Though they have mentioned the same in the bus with the price as 75 for Blanket and 10 for water bottles. They say it has free Wi-fi which never works.
Though it was a Volvo but one cannot sleep inside as it makes too much of noise.
They do not have a proper stop where one can fill there stomach or get relived. The place where it stops has worst restrooms(keep it your imaginations).
Spent close to 45 odd minutes at Goa entry to fulfill the formalities of Tax. Are you kidding? This has to be done in advance as it wasted our time. We suppose to reach at 9 and due to there marvelous service we made it not before 12:30 - 1.
These are the experience of my and friends family. Others may have good or bad experience so I respect that. I would recommend to look for others travels if has the choice and if not then you know the best what to do.
