I booked my bus back from Goa to Pune via Paulo Travels. Big mistake. I had booked the AC sleeper Volvo Multi-axle overnight bus. They charge as much as their competitors and provide nothing in terms of comfort for the customer. Below I shall list the various cheap ways in which they try to save costs at the expense of the customer's comfort.
Also, I must mention, my Pune to Goa bus booking was in Konduskar-AC Sleeper which was an excellent bus.
All of the below things were provided by Konduskar buses at the SAME ticket price.
No blankets. Those who wanted needed to buy them from the bus.
They made sure you would need to buy a blanket because all the AC vent controls placed directly above the bed were broken and did not work. Because of not being able to turn the AC vent down, despite buying a blanket I was shivering all night and spent the next one week recovering from a severe sore throat, cough and cold.
No luggage rack with the bed which meant handbags had to be kept at your feet/head.
The above was particularly a challenge because bed size was very small. In length just about 5 feet 5 inches. Most men cannot fit this size.
Vertical space between bed and roof was insufficient to be able to sit upright.
Why the above angers me is because the Konduskar bus did not have any of these problems. Which proves that it is possible to provide good service at the same price.
