I went to Goa from Hyderabad on 1st of Jun’12 along with my colleagues.. I had booked the tickets for everyone on Paulo Travels.. On the day of travel, I just casually checked the reviews on ‘Paulo Travels’ and to my shock almost everyone has written negative reviews on Paulo. Since I had chosen and booked the tickets on Paulo, I was tensed on how it’ll go and if it’s worst then I will have to answer my colleagues..
But to my surprise, we did not had any issues at all.. Let me just list it –
Departure : The bus has reached 15 minutes late but It was totally understood that considering the traffic at Kondapur (Hyderabad). The Co-Driver has assisted us well in getting our seats accordingly. No confusion at all.
Blankets : Few of them had mentioned that the Blankets were charged; but in our case, we haven’t. We got the shawls for free of cost as like any other Volvo bus.
Cleanliness : The bus was clean and no complaints at all in that section
Mandatory tips: Back of the ticket it was mentioned that each of us had to give Rs.10, a mandatory tip to the crews. But to my surprise they did not asked any of us.
Cramped Seats: On one of the review it was mentioned that there was no space between the seats and it was cramped. I just wanted to make it clear that when we say Volvo (Multi Axle) the seats are arranged in the same manner on all the tour operator's vehicles.. Paulo or anyone for that matter can’t alter them to accomodate more. One of them had also mentioned in their review that above 5’7” should never go with Paulo however being 6’1”, I did not faced any issues at all!
Arrival : There was an hour delay, but again, it was not because of Paulo.. When we were about to reach Goa, we saw lot of Trucks were lined up for at least 3 – 4 Kms(!) at 7:30AM and because of that the bus could not go at a normal speed. However considering the situation no one had raised any concern.
Not sure about other routes as other MSians had mentioned however between Hyderabad to Goa, it was as good as it should be. So for this route, you can very well book the tickets. For other routes, it's on your own risk.

Bus starts from: Nampally, Reaches Kondapur at 7:15PM, Miyapur at 7:30PM, Last stop in Hyderabad - Chanda Nagar at 7:45PM.. Expect a delay of 15-30 Minutes. Cost per seat - Rs.1000. Cancellation: 24 Hrs before 20% deduction, 80% return in credit note which will be valid for one year from the date of booking and I was told that we can take a refund also.. Last stop at Goa - Above Mandovi river, where you can hire a bike which is just near by this last bus stop. Charges for Activa - Rs.175/= per day and Avenger - Rs.300/= per day.. Bullet - Rs.600/= per day, Splendor - Rs.175/=, R15 & Yamaha Fazer - Rs.300/=
