First of all I want to share something from my own experience. We starts for Srinagar from jammu at early morning.
When we pass couple of kilo meters, Some Army are came towards our Cars. They said us that don't go Srinagar right now.
When we asked him the reason they said us that The Convoy just down from Kashmir in this route, so we have to stay there only for that night, if we stay there for only 1 night then We Will starts our journey again the next day.
our travel agent just managed a standard rooms hotels for a night.
Then we just check in at that hotel.
So this hotels price are so much higher then other ones. Because they know that we have no way to stay. The extra cost for 1 night is Rs 2500 per room. So that was a bad experience for all us. This is not the fault of The tour Agent because the don't know about that circumstances that we have to face.
so after spending a night in the hotel. The next day was to good. We spent couple of times in a place. That was the Patnitop.
the local sightseeing was excellent. We just check out the some valley then we eat Maggy & We give some biscuit to some money.
Overall this place is good without the bad hotels.
