Back to my love….Travelling…!
We have already been to Kanyakumari…to the extreme South
Now Let’s go to PatniTop in North ….Not extreme North !
Patnitop , a beautiful Hill Station , in Jammu and Kashmir. It is the best developed tourist stop but relatively not so popular !
PatniTop is blessed with lush green thickly wooded Pine forests and mind-blowing Mountain scape views.
Patnitop offers peaceful walks, which are really rare in other Hill Stations.
A walk on the unpaved paths between rows and rows of tall trees leads to quiet retreats.
The total atmosphere is so serene and cool , away from the mad rush of city life...
The only sound one hears is the tinkling of bells around the necks of goats and cows
and the rustling of leaves and twigs…….

The peak season is during the summer, though end July to August is beautiful and not crowded.
In summers, people come here on picnics and week-ends and enjoy staying in huts and Dak Banglow ( managed by J&K TDC)
Trekking
Summer is the season when all trekking lovers come here.
Camping
This place offer beautiful camping sites…Few shops rent equipments for camping.
Enjoy…this winter in Patnitop
In winter, the resort is generally covered with a thick mantle of snow thus providing opportunities for various snow games including skiing.

Patnitop, 112 kms from Jammu. , takes min 3 hrs drive( Bus or Private Taxis). As Vehicle passes through this hilly region offer you a great joy as nature-lover.
It is situated on a beautiful highland, at an altitude of 2024 metres across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes.
Generally people returning from “Vaishnav Devi” come here for relaxation. Patnitop is apprx. 80 km from Katra.
The evenings in Patnitop are quite cold. The mountains are covered by fog and visibility can drop to a mere 10 feet. ( Doesn’t it sound great ! )
Shopping…
Sorry for this news…People who love to shop will not love Patnitop coz it does not offer opportunities to shop. ( except for few small shops offering Kashmiri Handicrafts)

Hotels…
There are very few hotels to stay. And if you try to search, you get tired very easily as they are spread over good distance.
We stayed in Vardaan Resort.
Yummy food, Good location and Beautiful garden !

Honeymooners ….so romantic and so quiet !
Friends. ( Camping , Trekking etc)
Kids : ( Beautiful gardens )
