Park Avenue is the Brand Name of all readymade products made of Raymond fabrics by Raymond itself. It is an in-house enterprise. I like
Park Avenue trousers and jackets. They are expensive
no doubt, but very good value for money. When compared with the price tags attached to readymade dresses in Europe and USA,
Park Avenue products in India are a lot cheaper.
There is a
Park Avenue outlet in New Delhis South Extension Part -I. It used to be my most favourite shop for buying dresses. Even now when I go to Delhi, I visit this place.
When you buy a pair of trousers, you should look for the fabric quality, buttons used, zipper used and the cloth used for pockets. The cloth for pockets should be of the same colour as the main fabric, If you want plaits in the front, go in for this. Then you should see whether the pair of trousers have one or two back pockets.
When buying a jacket, please decide, whether you want a single- breast or double- breast one. Examine the quality of shoulder pads and buttons used. If you want to go in for a suit, would it be a two-piece or a three-piece one ? The length of a pair of trousers is of free size, to be adjusted during trial. This is a standard practice followed by all readymade outlets everywhere in the world. Scarves made of different fabrics are also marketed by
Park Avenue. You can buy a matching felt hat from a good shop. Near Regal Cinema in New Delhis Connaught Place, there is a good place for hats. The price also is reasonable.
Please do not mistake me to be a Salesman of
Park Avenue. I am not, but I wear their dresses with style. I am very fussy about dresses. I have been so since childhood.
When I was with UNESCO, my British Project Manager, Mr. Green used to say BB always keeps the sartorial reputation of UNESCO. True, I did it for 45 months, and even now I do it, when I have a UN Tie Clip on my Tie.
