Whether you are a parent or babysitter, since the little tykes don’t come with manuals, you can never get enough information or insight! I don’t subscribe, but I get hand me down issues of this
magazine from a friend when she is done reading them. I wish I had known of this magazine or something similar to it when I worked at a Day Care center as a young adult. Sometimes keeping an entire room full of toddlers at a variety of emotional and physical levels can be extremely challenging and very exhausting. Parenting Magazine has been a wonderful asset to me in babysitting Sarah (6) and Stephen (9) over the last few years! I stepped into my sons life when he was nine and he was a beautiful, tremendously outgoing kid, with extreme intelligence and a great outlook on life. Being a step-parent has it’s own set of challenges! Parenting Magazine would have been a wonderful guide because since he didn’t come with an instruction booklet - or so they tell me - life was very challenging and entertaining.

This magazine would have come in handy especially between when he was ten and a half until he turned eleven. That is the time frame where we swear alien came and took him and substituted a look alike! He became agitated at everything, argumentative, and downright mean! Suddenly on his eleventh birthday, he returned to us and has been his caring sensitive self since then! Parenting Magazine would have been a bonus during that half year when we didn’t know how to help him or guide him through! This magazine covers a lot of material in it’s pages including health matters, play, creative crafts, financial issues.

Parenting also reviews toys, foods, gifts, books, etc. Whether your young one is new or ten, this magazine will have helpful articles regarding techniques, creative ways to spend time with the little ones in your life, and more! I have also found that Stephen and Sarah enjoyed looking at pictures over the years and reading the book reviews and reviews of toys with me! There are a lot of craft ideas that are very inexpensive that come in handy for the down time when the kids are bored. Sarah, now a beginning reader has always loved to be read to and enjoyed pictures even more. It has been an excellent way to spend time with them!
