If there is one airline that could make the market leader Jet Airways bite the bullet, then it is most definitely this one! The level of courtesy and customer care here is truly astounding and hitherto

alien in India. The training and grooming of all their staff seems to be truly international. They know how to make the customer feel like they are royalty and truly special! I would say it’s worth travelling for the service alone.

Last month, I travelled with them from Chennai to Coimbatore and back, and last week went to Cochin and Bangalore on holiday. I am not a foodie as such and prefer to eat light on most flights, but on all these trips, I simply  couldn’t help myself—I gorged like mad on their croissants and desserts. The morning meal masala omlet was excellent. I was going to a wedding reception in Coimbatore, but when I landed and went straight for the wedding, I couldn’t eat! Had to refuse breakfast since the flight food was too tasty and I was full on that. Everyone there was amused, but the general impression was that Paramount was the best flight in the South and overtaking even biggies like Jet and Indian.

I have long since been disappointed with Jet’s in-flight service. In fact, it was good originally, but now there seems to be a sudden drop in courtesy to the passengers. I hope Paramount retains this level of service even when they become a national player These guys have the makings of a winner, but only if they maintain what they have now!The plane itself is a small one though, but so are the others flown by Jet and Deccan in the same sector, probably since these routes are considered shorter ones I suppose. 

 

But the seats onboard were very much comfortable. I hate sitting cramped and too close to strangers, but here, I had my privacy and space since the seats were long and broad enough. It is very cushiony and even if the flight were longer,   I would not have minded. Surprising for me actually, because I am always impatient to go soon…here is a flight that took me twenty minutes earlier to my destination, and here I am wishing it was longer! LOL!

 

The only problem with these guys is they fly only in the South and to limited cities—Cochin, Bangalore, Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad etc. They should advertise more and add more connections especially to Mumbai and other major cities where there services will be more recognised. I for one, wish them all the best. Wherever I need to fly, I will first check if there are seats available on Paramount before booking on other planes. In short, enjoyable good experience.
