If you are one of those who have been residing in Kolkata for long and have been hearing of massive buildings coming up blustering of great weekend hang outs, there is another one for you.

While

Mr. Kishore Biyani has been sweating out building strategies to attain market collation, he considerably has an upper hand on when it comes to understanding the Janta. Time and again he has proved himself to be the ace retailer no matter how his competitors react to the compliment!

After one year of grinding and tight working schedule at a sublimed location, Kankurgachi, The Pantaloons India Ltd surprised the Kolkatan’s with a colossal structure shining along the busiest lane of Kankurgach

Pantaloons - Ahmedabad

i. The structure grinned full curve when it was declared “Open” in mid march this year. The sales haven’t seen a drop since then. The Orchid Point hitherto has been the favorite hangout (second only to City Centre).

If you are an impulsive shopper, there are enough traps for you! The mammoth size and the much ecstatic ambience is irresistible. It makes you lurk around for a “little while” that would be longer than you had anticipated. Remember, you have an option to cover 4 Floors that requires a minimum of 2 hrs time if you want to squeeze the maximum nectar out from your shopping endeavor. Phew. That’s too much isint’d!

Ground Floor: The ground floor is solely dedicated to the women shoppers.

Welcomed by the startling range of perfumes (and deo’s) that you can never have enough of, it takes a big heart to move on. Towards the left awaits the ethnic wear collection from BIBA,  Aakriti (from Rock S) and many more so that you can savor enough options of dress materials, skirts, kurta, kurtis, salwar kameez and the matching centre of course. Take a right turn and there is a feast for women (ladies) preferring western outfits. The range is dazzling from Scullers, Annebelle and Honey only to name a few. A right again and you will be welcomed by the casual range (sports and gym wear) from Lee Cooper, Bare, Honey, Scullers, Spykar, etc. Not just apparel, the ones looking forward to shop for hand bags (both ethnic and casual variety) and shoes will also have much to choose from.

1st Floor: Just a step up from the escalators and the section smiles at men. Shirts, T-shirts, trousers, jeans, briefs  from leading brands like Lee, Allen Solly, Louis Phillips, and much more leaves the men amazed as much as the women.

2nd Floor: The second floor belongs to the kids and home appliances. Starting from TV to I-Pods, you name it, they have it. A total time pass if you have taken your kids along, don’t forget to enjoy the fun filled kids play section.

3rd Floor: Now here is the floor that never retires on action. Which ever is time to select to drop by; an exhausting shopping experience is ensured. Like a manic you keep moving around with trolleys in hand to check that your lady doesn’t overdo the budget.

The newly built section of Food, just beside the books and the stationary section gives a little time to rest before to plunge head on again.

PS. For Food Bazaar shopping, Sunday’s are filled with assorted offers to match your shopping needs.
