It looks great - very compact ( full marks for that ) . Add to it , it has polyphonic ringtones which are ok enough . And its very light too. And it slips deep into your pockets so the chances of getting stolen are less.
Usage Issues
I bought this phone last year without verifying from any one what this product is like.
But after using it for a few days I came to know that this phone is NOT for serious use .
It heats up fast . Because of the small size I had to sometimes move the phone closer to my mouth so that the other person can hear . The problem is that since the mic is far off from your mouth , it pics up a lot of unwanted noise which can be very irritating for the other person .
The battery does not last long enough and worst this phone hangs a lot. I lost all my contacts ( phone numbers ) twice and had to be sent to the service center .
Service
This is my experience -
My phone is with the service center (Panasonic - Vikroli , Mumbai ) since last August ! First they do not stock the parts for the phone. Then they tried to return the phone ( repaired ) after 3 months but after taking my brand new battery and replacing it with some old stuff. meanwhile they have lost my original battery. And to make up for that they have promised a 'one month' warranty for the old used battery . So from this you all can guage how the service is like .
Conclusion Dont go by looks and brand name. Finally they are all there to make money out of you and take you for granted. So please make sure of the product before deciding the brand. I bought it when it used to cost Rs 4000 , now its not even worth Rs 500 and I havent even used for a quarter of the year since it was with the Service center ! Avoid Panasonic .
New Developments It can be a coincidence , but a couple of days after I put in this review I had my phone back with a new battery with 6 months warranty and one free servicing . By the way I am looking to sell this phone , maybe in exchange for something more reliable .
