I picked up a second hand Palio 1.2 ELX 2003 Model, in Jul 2006, which had done 17500 km by then. Now at 32000 km, looking back, I believe its been one of my best decisions yet.
Palio 1.2 ELX is, really "is"
I love the composed and solid ride at high speeds, its superb built aided by its weight. Comfy at 130. Jittery after 135...can rev upto 150 kmph
excellent steering-road connect, you would just feel the control, rubber on tarmac. Great handling, just good for any surface
body is solid too...the safest small car in my opinion
pretty decent dash..driver centric..sporty look with big dials..and solid plastics
ample space inside for a small car..considerable leg room..rear as well. Big enough boot too
awesome looks..especially the rear! I like the 'chuck' sound of the door closing..
and those small features like mirror levers on both sides, body color mirror and door handles, rear view glare cutter, child lock, boot door lever, ashtray etc adds upto the big-car feeling
at 10kmpl in city conditions, its slightly heavy on the purse but the driving pleasure does make up for it
A month back, the brake oil cylinder had a line crack at the bottom. The clutch pedal fell flat after drinking 250ml of brake oil in a day. Cost me about Rs. 800 for the replacement. Since late, the engine is kind of noisy when the AC is on. Besides that, I have had no issues.
Thanks to Mouthshut reviews, played a major role in me going for the Palio!
