Its a small world after all but is dangerous at the same time!
If all people were good, our police forces and army wouldnt have been in place. The sad part is that before something good comes....the
bad effects take a toll on it. same as the case with orkut.
While almost everyone in the world knows about it, the trouble with this site is that it hasnt done much to verify the details of the people who log in. One can have a 1000 profiles with different names and the system will allow it.
Having started with a negative thought, let me come down to the positives. The best part which I found with orkut is the COMMUNITIES, unxplored and really helpful if your intentions are good.
Users can come together and build a community and start sharing information, views etc. Orkut has begun where yahoogroups stopped. Yahoo just stopped with giving a limited space to share data whereas through communities, one can not only share the views, they can also participate and create polls, in a much easier way than the troublesome yahoogroup
The problems are many....but the silver lining is...you can find ur old friends, crushes, teachers, uncles aunties...and almost everyone who knows computer and internet...
Orkut off late is facing trouble with sites like facebook....the only reason where facebook scores is that it allowes third party applications to use facebook platform and run...I guess orkut should be doing something about it sooon!
cheeeeeers!
