One of the worst resort.
We were there in May 2008.
1. Rude old lady at reception
2. Could not allot the room on time
3. Sent us to the restaurent looking at our tired faces (as such the
journey to Coorg is so bad). We thought we will be seved some refreshment due to the delay in the room allotment. Finally, a shocking bill. Charges are extremely high.
4. Then comes the room allotment. The worst room (cottage), with ugly linen (bedsheets), ugly toilet bowl (tagged with "sterilized for your safety"), ugly pink towels (stein spots on white towel and became pink), washbasin drainage blocked, rocket speed shower (cant control it and if ur not careful, it can damage your eyes. Not advisable for the child alone to take the shower)
5. We complained and got the room changed. Bit better than the previous one. Now anything better than this was not available after checking several cottages.
6. Cottages are so old and never renovated since they were built (it appeared to us to believe)
7. Mineral Water bottle in room: 60 Rs. plus service charge (about 85 Rs. / bottle)
8. Cabs not available for the resident guests at the time of check-in & check-out (they suggest "walking is a good exercise").
9. Poor lighting on walkways at night. If u want to go for the dinner, u will feel scared of insects.
10. Cant open room windows after the sunset as scary insects will occupy the room and those horror noise of insects will drive you crazy
11. In May 2008, Air conditions in the rooms were not available. They were installed but not started. So, at night, all windows closed and no A.C., what’s more you can imagine?
12. Food was bit good, but we feel scared in the restaurent at the time of dinner due to open windows and roaming insects on the buffet dinner
13. Kauveri river looks beautiful only in Orange county’s catalog or website.
14. Once u get into the resort, no options available if u want to go out and roam around. Cab arranged by the resort will cost much
15. Somehow we completed our stay and we were all feeling how we were looted with extremely high charges and what’s the real picture of the resort in comparison to what they are projecting on the TV adds, website, megazines and catalogues.
I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IS JUST WORTH FOR A PICNIC OF MORNING TO EVENING. I
