My Opel Corsa 1.4 2 years 6 months experience. Review on Opel Corsa Sail 1.4

I am very happy to come again to share my further experience on Opel Corsa Sail 1.4.

Its been two years I am not updated anything with regards my previous experience, however this time I got good points to share you all.

The happy part is I have received dozen emails asking the inputs from different people who are looking to buy the sail, my sincere thanks to those who encouraged me to write my below experience.

As I said in my earlier review Sail is a poor man BMW after using more than two years I stick with my word. During the last two years+ I have serviced my car two times from Car Nation, SAnasultanthNagar, Hyderabad and each time on average I have spend 4000/- including taxes etc.

My simple rule for servicing is 10k kilometers or One year which ever is earlier and my next service schedule on Oct 2015 and this time I am planning to go for Bosch center in Gachabouli which is near to my present house.

During my two and half years of riding I have covered 17k kilometers and top speed reached was 145 kph(covered 450 kilometers under 5.30 hrs on diwali day no traffic).

Pros:

1. Very reliable car if you serviced as per the intervals.

   
   




2. Very stable in high speeds on highway.

   
   




3. Five people can sit very comfortably.

   
   




4. Good boot space considering the size of car.

   
   




5. Very tough built and quality is topnotch(not like current generation cars can easily dents).

   
   




6. Excellent AC even though the glasses are not covered with film.

   
   

Cons:

1. Low mileage(the kerb weight is 1300 kgs) due to heavy weight.

   
   




2. Low ground clearance(very careful while crossing big speed breakers on full occupation)

   
   




3. Low torque in 1 and 2 gears.

I am Rakesh.using the Opel corsa sail 1.4 for the last 4 months.

Before buying this car I have gone through many reviews in and out and finally made my mind to go for.so one fine day I come across a good looking car standing infront of a dealer with Intact_Automation condition.I bought the same with out much bargaining for 1.11 lachs.since then I am enjoying my ride with out a single hicup.

During this 4 months I covered almost 2000 Kilometre went shirdi, mahabaleshwar etc I never noticed any hassels.According to my observation in city my opel is giving 12 kms and long it is giving 15 kms.

In one sentence I can say its a poor mans BMW thanks to the german technology.My dealer is very good and he provided me the 6000 kilometres warranty as well.

I belive my review will help some budding buyers like me for opel corsa sail 1.4.
