I would like to share my bitter experience with Onida and their fraudulent customer service team. I purchased an Oxygen 29 inches TV in 2006 and sincerely regret my decision! The very first set was defective
and the dealer replaced it, and then the problem started. The company seems to have an inbuilt timer – immediately after the expiry of the warranty period, the set started giving problems. And then started my dealings with the infamous customer service centre.
The Onida customer service has been outsourced (it looks like) to a bunch of lousy incompetent jokers! First of all you cant get through to their customer service number and if you get through they promptly give you a complaint number and then forget about the complaint. We had to run from pillar to post to get the set repaired. From 2006 till date, I have had five instances of problems and once the engineer took the PCB for repair and then did a vanishing act! I had to run from pillar to post to get it repaired. And now again the damned TV has failed, the TV set has just stopped working.
I gave a complaint on Monday 16th June and no one has bothered to contact till date. The phones of all the engineers are not working (this is a common case with Onida, none of their engineers phones works, either it is switched off or incoming calls are barred – looks like the crooks don’t pay their phone bills!). I have sent umpteen emails to their so called response team and no response!
I am thoroughly fed up and disgusted with dealing with these crooks. I have decided to file a case in the consumer court! So, my advise to all MS members, PLEASE DON’T BUT ANY ONIDA PRODUCTS, because the CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM MEMBERS ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!
