For the room size mentioned by you, it is enough if you go for a 1 ton window A.C. There are many in the market which are reasonably good. In the lower end, you have samsung, L.G, Onida, Blue Star and so on. I have Samsung and it appears to be ok. I have read the specifications of Onida and found it has higher BTU and EER, but I have no personal experience as I do not have one.If you are willing to pay slightly more you have Hitachi and O General. What you should look for in any AC is the EER and BTU. The BTU must be high for good cooling and EER must also be high for less electricity consumption.
