Service and Support:
One of the worst I have come across in recent years. I have purchased two INV12RGO(1 ton split) ac in April 2016. Experience was horrible right from installation. To begin with - installation was done after 1 week that too after begging the Franchisee with multiple calls. One of the ACs developed a screeching sound at the time of installation and the company technician had no clue .He took the details and vanished without providing a solution. Further calls to call center were a waste of time. We have to bear this till now.
The second AC worked fine but developed E1 error code and stopped working 40 days ago. upon contacting the customer service in Bangalore(on 7-March-2017), the issue is yet to be resolved, today being 04-April-2017. The technician who visited us provided the number of his supervisor and asked us to contact him further. The supervisor keeps on lying and saying that he has no support from HQ and has no spares. He keeps promising that he will send his technician for resolving, but will never send anyone. Everyone in my home is deeply inconvenienced by this lack of support from Ondia. Buying an unit by paying 42, 000 Rupees is not worth. Onida clearly lacks a professional service and support team in Bangalore. I am planning to file a case in consumer court.
Cooling and Sound:
Cooling is good. But sound issues bugged one of my units.
Quality and Durability:
Fit and Finish aesthetics are good. But wouldn't give 1 out of 100 for reliability and durability. Buying a product based on looks has cost me heavily.
Value for Money
No value at all. Better to donate for charity as there will be satisfaction of helping someone in need.
Overall:
I also have an Onida TV and Microwave at Home. My experience with Onida AC is so bad that I will be scrapping these away along with the AC and will strongly advise my friends against going with Onida products.
My advise to Onida is - If you want to be relevant and remain in business, please have a proper customer care group in your organisation. Respect the needs of the customers and have empathy. Sales and margins alone will not support your business.
