After a week's holiday in Egypt, I arrived at Cairo Airport to find that the Oman Air counter was closed. They had moved the flight to Muscat forward an hour! The rep in Cairo kindly offered to put me on another flight - 2 days later. Oh, but no hotel voucher. I had to spend my children's inheritance on an Egypt Air flight.
My complaint to the airline was ignored until I CCd Oman's Ministry of Tourism. I was eventually offered a refund for the ticket - for a fraction of what I paid for it.
