The most hyped movie of the year.  Media played a big part in making it a hit. The way it was projected prior to release - Sawariya or OSO - as if there is nothing else in life !  

The movie is a sham and can be termed as a marketing triumph . The crew pulled out all plugs while unleashing the marketing strategies - associating with cricket, linking the heroine to the dashing Indian ODI captain ( and of course denying it later), the entire crew popping up in public at every opportunity.  

The movie seemed more like watching a filmfare award show, with a thin plot thrown in to dupe the gullible audience. There was masala - ghost, revenge, a feeling of dejavu for the middle aged and elderly  who still fondly cherish the golden era of cinema, and racy tunes for the young.   The real redeeming feature of the movie are its songs which are good.  Rest is farce.

An movie  that can be avoided  ( except for maybe  hardcore SRK fans ) . Seeing/listening to the songs is better.  One of the most forgettable SRK movies I have seen.
