I have been buying books from Om Book, South Extension for last 8-10 years now. They are professionals and have been in book selling in many many years now. I am not a regular visitor because I do buy books online and from other places too.
So far, my experience has been good, if not too good with them. I have bought books of wide variety from them ranging from Technical books, home Decor, Novels, Autobiographies, kids' etc. They have nice range of boks, but sometimes they disappoint you. I have been out of India last couple if years and I visited Om books last month only. They have changed the shop infrastructure and it doesn't give a good impression to you. It is not spacious now.They have made it like a labyrinth and I did not like to go inside again.
They do try to get the books you want, but don't actually make much effort. You can also order from there website. They also offer good discount on books and sometimes I got discount up to 20% on my technical books. I could not find many books during this visit.
I think they have shrunk the range of books they used to have. I don't know, this Om Books doe snot look like the old Om Books I used to visit.
Try visiting them when they offer 10-90% off on certain books You may get good deals.
