I have only made two rides in Ola, one in hyderabad from KACHEGUDA railway station to Lumbini Park and the second one from TIRUPATI to Narasingapuram. The first ride seemed really great because the cab driver appeared as soon as we booked a ride and there was a direct estimate amount available on our screen as 85rs.
And that was what he charged us at the end. The only problem was that he had difficulty in finding the way even with the help of Google maps and at one instance he was willing to go to a one way road just because the map was stating so.
That's a story. But the second ride was too damn costly. There was no surge but for a mere 13 km, we were charged an amount of 266rs. We thought it would be OK if it was around 200 but 266 is too much. When asked, we got a bill stating all the taxes and exorbitant 11/km. The driver was good but the rates were too much. Wonder how much will they be at surge.
