My journey at Oakridge has been very memorable. I have made leaps and bounds, both academically and socially. I joined Oakridge when I was in third grade and just came from the United States then. I recall, my class teacher always supported me when I was low emotionally and that made me adjust to the changes that took place in my life. As fourth grade went by, I made new friends, involved myself in various extracurricular activities and group projects. Now, I realise the school's well-built facilities and admirable staff are the key factors to nourish a student, and that's exactly what happened to me.
The fifth grade and sixth grade was the most important phase of the junior sector. My favourite teacher till date, class teacher Mrs. Anuradha Ma'am, was very respectful and caring and got the best potential out of me. She integrated the class together and made it a family. She ensured I walk out confident and with a pure heart. Few experiences that are stuck with my memory are Sports Day, Founders Day and the PYP Exhibition. The creative atmosphere and dedication of the staff are what motivated me through my fifth and sixth grade.
From the seventh to tenth grade, there have been many changes. Increase in homework, new teachers and friends, deviations in the academic framework and many more. In this interval, swimming became an important part of my life. I won many medals on behalf of Oakridge and due to support from the sports faculty, such as extra classes and taking me for competitions, I was built a complete swimmer. I represented my district at the State Level and my school at the national level and am extremely thankful to the sports head and team. Having gained immense skills throughout my course, I finished 10th with a 10 CGPA due to various ways that teachers found to help us to achieve the feat. The way the they connect to students is incredible. The number of extracurricular activities were just increasing at that time and the journey was never boring. It just kept me going and I learnt from many instances that occurred in my life. Treasure Fest, which occurs every year, is a memorable experience I've also had where it serves as a ground to compete between different schools.
In my eleventh and twelfth grade, I've grown much as a person. My thinking skills enhanced and my research skills improved. My physics teacher, Mrs. Rukmani Ma'am, was the best teacher. She is so hardworking and has so much knowledge about the subject that I feel connected to the subject very deeply. My interest in Physics is only because of her and am grateful to the rest of the faculty as they were equally so determined to help me all out throughout my eleventh and twelfth. Their support was tremendous and their sincerity in all their work proves that Oakridge has one of the best teaching staff. I graduated from twelfth with an outstanding 93 percentile in CBSE 12th Board. The teachers have put their whole effort into trying to help all of us achieve this feat. I've understood the importance of hardwork, respect, and time in life and as a result, now I'm currently studying at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus which is one of India's widely acclaimed and top universities in India. I'm proud to be called an Oakridger and its been an outstanding 10 years that I have lived. I still recall memories today from my journey at Oakridge and I love sharing them to others. Oakridge is just superb and I wish I can just go through the same journey again.
