No deep and strong feeling, such as we may come across here and there in the world, is unmixed with compassion. The more we love, the more the object of our love seems to us to be a victim.
Wednesday
evening I went home early, around 7.30 PM as I wanted to have some rest from the stressed project work. I reached home, switched on my TV. It was Z-Cinema and RHTDM was coming. It’s one of my favorite movies but still I changed the channel as I’m trying to avid love stories these days. I was just surfing the TV, then I saw this movie coming on star movies and then I couldn’t stop myself and end up with watching the entire movie again.
Story: William Thacker, a bookstore owner in Notting Hill, a small lovely city in UK falls in love with a beautiful Hollywood actress Anna Scott. Anna has come to the city for a movie shooting, both meets in William’s bookstore first time. She has come there to look some books. By accident they meet again and fall in love. From here starts the sweet journey of their innocent love story. One day William meets Anna’s boyfriend and he got stuck up, why Anna didn’t tell him about her life before. He got disturbed. One day, Anna comes to him and the story starts again. “Ruthna” “Manana” goes on and finally they meet in a very nice dreamy manner.
Music: It’s a nice musical movie, you will find few very touchy songs in this movie. The songs are situational and lyrics are lovely (don’t be afraid it’s not around the trees and mountains). So, typical bollywood viewer will also enjoy this. I would love to listen these songs again and again.
Scene: Some of the scenes are worth watching in this movie. When Anna cancels her night’s appointment to have her first date with William. It’s so lovely feeling. When both went for a night walk after the birthday party of William’s sister. The night walk (walking in night not walking in sleep), which I love, is very well shown in this movie, so lovely and so sweet. When William meets Anna’s boyfriend. He is shocked, how she could do that, he was not able to react properly there. To see your love, loving someone else is the most hurting situation. Well shown here. The climax of the movie, the Anna’s press conference, where William proposes her in a very gentleman manner.
Acting: Performance wise also this is a superb movie. A sensitive, emotional and confused character (William) is well played by Hugh Grant. He often plays this kind of confused character or may be he looks like that (just kidding). A smart, beautiful, blonde character of Anna and that’s the best-labeled role for Julia Roberts. All other actors are also well justified with their roles.
Have you seen a dream to walk in pleasant streets of Notting Hill with your sweetheart, if not dream it today .....
