Nokia gave a really nice cell by launching 6630. It’s having almost all the features which we need. It’s having 3G connectivity, descent speaker, Stereo output in handsfree, a 223 MHz Processor (faster than 6600, 6670, 7610,etc), nice screen (looks better than other 65k screens), 1.3 Mega pixel camera, 64MB MMC free with mobile etc.

    I bought nokia 6630 in January 2006 as second hand one worth INR 9,700/- with firmware 5.03.08. Though i’ve updated my firmware with data cable from nokia web site to 6.03.08 recently. I was using Nokia 3220 before buying this one. But after getting it liquid damaged i had to buy another one. I compared 6670 & 3230 with it & found 6630 best among them so i finalized buying it. I used this site for comparing many phones using reviews so i know importance of review.

    First plus point of 6630 amont others is it’s output is stereo. It sounds really great in handsfree. You can use it’s default player to listen mp3 or you can install a very nice player "Power MP3". Power mp3 comes with equalizer & it improves sound with that. Another plus point is it’s having 10MB internal memory. So you can store many contacts, messages, etc. You can also change message memory to memory card if you want more. On first change it’ll ask you to move your phone memory message to mmc. After doing that, you can receive large files via bluetooth (Even more than phone memory cause now it’s not going to phone memory but going to mmc).

    Speed of 6630 is very nice. It opens all things faster because of it’s faster processor. It can install almost all softwares, which are designed for series 60 phones.

    It’s keypad is comfortable for typing messages. You won’t face problems like in 7610. The camera of 1.23 effective mega pixels, really rocks in day light. In night it doesn’t give better result due to absence of flash. But if you compare it with other 1.3 Mega pixel camera of other mobiles without flash then it’s really good in night also.

    It comes in a package of 6630 mobile, data cable (dku-2), PC-Suite CD, 64MB memory card, HS-3 head set & BL-5C battery.

    FExplorer - A nice explorer program (A Must have)

    SMS Counter - An application which counts incoming & outgoing sms & helps if you have free                                         msgs.

    XXLConfig - An application for setting different screen savers.

    Mcafee Virus scan - An antivirus (use it only if u don’t want to run other heavy applications as it                                                 eats up very much memory of your phone but gives nice protection).

    PowerMP3 - An mp3 player having equalizer (Best player i’ve seen).

    Smart Movie Player - A video player for avi format. It comes with converter to convert your pc movies to avi format. (DivX Player is an freeware alternative of smart movie player.)

    MumSMS+ - An sms guard for protecting sms which you don’t want others to see with password.

    Bkup Contacts - For backing up all contacts into one .vcf file (Useful when formatting phone).

    Call Cost Saver - It gives beep on every predefined seconds of minute giving warning of 1 minute                                     is about to over (very useful).

    N-series music player - It’s available in many sites of mobile softwares.

    Recently the Limited Edition of Nokia 6630 is out for INR 11,200/-. It comes with metal chrome keys for menu & last row of keypad. It comes with 128 MB MMC, n-series mp3 player.
