Pros:
Looks, Screen Resolution, Sound quality
Cons:
Little accessories, Memory card inadequate, 3G not required in India (yet!)

A die-hard Nokia fan, I was not one bit disappointed by my 6233. I believe if it is a mobile, it has to be Nokia! And so when my old phone (Nokia 6610) went kaput, I looked for the latest Nokia ones

in the 11-15 K range.

I picked the phone 3 months back (just a week after it was introduced in India) and wanted to wait a while, before offering this review.

I was looking for rugged phone (I drop it down atleast once a week!) with clear sound clarity, a decent organizer, good calendar facility and a decent camera

Pros:

The looks are awesome... Black color with a silver frame around it. Looks like a nice business executive with a black suit. Not as attractive as a N72 or Sony Ericson one, but more discrete in its looks… Carries itself well in office. If you are 18-22, well it might look a little detached…

The next best part is the screen... at 262K colors, the display is superb. Crystal clear

No qualms about sound quality. It works seamlessly across networks in India and abroad. Dual speakers offer very good clarity. I even use it in my car on the speaker mode and I hear and am heard nice and clear.

The calendar and organizer facility helps me plan the next day or week very well. It is not a Palm and so you cannot expect a very powerful one, but what I got was very functional.

And finally it has excellent battery life. Once charged, it lasted 3 days easily.

Cons:

The 64 MB card which comes as part of the package is tag inadequate. I would appreciate space upwards of 512. But you can always buy one, as the phone can take upto 1 GB.

3G enabled. We don’t have it in India and so never can appreciate why I need it.

One small glitch is that it always tries to connect every call as a Video call and if it fails, reconnects a voice call. And unfortunately this is not configurable. Believe me, even if we have 3G support in India for Video calls, I would not like to make every call a Video call! This is a small nuisance, but I can live with it.

Offers practically no enhancements. A few goodies like the USB cable or a Bluetooth headset would have been nice
