Well, I am writing this review actually in tribute of my phone N95 which is completly distroyed by nokia care centres. delhi. My bro gifted me N95 last yr at birthday, it was working all fine, but one unlucky day it got switched off, at that moment I thought that the battery must not be charged, so thats the reason, but when I connected it on charger still there was no funtioning.
Then one of my friend suggested that I should go to nokia care centre n get it checked, as it was just few months of use, so I had warranty time too. Now my turmoil started with NOKIA CARE Centres., first I visited a centre located at m2k rohini, they didnt accepted my bill of purchase n didnt gave me warranty time too, as the phone was purchased in melbourne, , so they said as I am not having international warranty card so the bill is off no use, and I also didnt create , much ado about it as the initial checking cost by technician was just 100rs .well he opened the set, n said that there just dust n some cleaning has to be done, so I should collect my phone by tomorrow.
Later in the day I reciived a call from them that they cant repair it, so I should take the cell to some other centre. then I took it to janakpuri centre, , they said the same n asked me to go to the head office centre which is in Okhla, A few days after I planned to go to okhla, after checking their address online, when I reached okhla, 2 hr drive by my home, the office there had closed, n the staff told me that they are no longer a service centre of nokia, .
the struggle didnt end here, later I also went n saw 2 more centre one in pitampura n other in tilak nagar., what surprised me was that pitampura centre was actually willing to repair the cell n when I asked about the rough cost that would come for repairing, they claimed only 2000 bucks, , I agrred to that n gave my cell to repair, n waited at their centtre.
aftre 2 hrs waiting, the representative comes up to me n says that they can repair it but now something is wrong with the motherboard n the total cost of repairing would be over 15000. I was taken aback, as when I went ot other centre non said anything over motherboard, they just said that they dont have equipment to clean up etc etc,
Then I asked what will be re sale value of the set, coz spending 15 K seemed a bit much, over a cell repairing, when the new n95 value is also depriciating.
at first , he offered 8K, but that seem low, so I ask him to leave the matter I will sell it off someplace else, then he took the cell to be re fixed, n he returned it back to me,
now with many suggestions n discussion with my friends n family, I went with my cousin bro to his known dealer, for the repair, and got the shock of my life, he said the phone is j**ust a dummy now, as the Ic is destroyed n motherboard is replaced by duplicate one.
*I was in shock coz I went to all the nokia care authorise centre only, n this kind of fraud is usually done when u go to private dealers, or so.
Well, that was the end of my n95, its been reduced to a dummy now all becoz of the cheat by nokia care cntre, for which my mom scolds me everyday if she gets to remembers it.
Now I have logged on a complaint with Nokia care and also sent an email to nokia, refering to the fraud , n attached all the receipts of repair, with just a tiny hope string that atleast this kind of fraud never happens to anyone again..
if any Msians have any suggestions that over what should I do next pls do comment.
