I have recently purchased a Nokia 6101 after getting impressed with its apperance. Though I still like its Stylish Flip apperance (including the well designed antenna!!) and its good reception and other features such as the ability to see n take ones own photo (due to mini display); I would recommend it only to those who are bothered about basic functionality good Radio(I mean the reception and transmission of speech) and stylish looks. Iwould list the PROS and CONS as follows :
PROS : 1. Looks, good on basic performance(talk)
Flip
Good ear phones and speaker
mini display & ''Self Shot facility''
longer battery life (Charge to discharge)
6 Its a Nokia
CONS : 1. Relatively poor and dull display compared to Sony Er or Panasonic. Even my kids started preferring our K508i (Sony Er) whose display looks and sounds better.
Poor photo and video quality
I experienced some difficulty in activating the ''Attach photo to contact'' feature
Limited memory
5.Limited free prifiles, tones and images
- high price for features offered
I feel that Nokia and other Cell Ph manufacturers should make the tones and Images content better customized for India with Indian/Hindi Film tunes Etc. Sony Er made a beginning in this direction.
Hence I would stiil recommend for those interested in LOOks and functionality. Those with a liking for Diplay and CAM can look else where.
